NCRC Restorative Comunity Conferencing Facilitator at National Conflict Resolution Center

Rafael Monroy has extensive experience in community development, education, and conflict resolution. Currently serving as a Restorative Community Conferencing Facilitator at the National Conflict Resolution Center since July 2015, Rafael promotes preventative and restorative practices in partnership with various stakeholders to heal community harm. Previously, Rafael held roles at MAAC, including Contract Specialist, where responsibilities encompassed resident advocacy and performance tracking, and Dean of Students, overseeing academic support programs. As a Development Contractor with CNC/Workforce Partnership, Rafael provided job readiness training and support for youth. Notable early career achievements include coordinating the Parent and Community Engagement Center at Hoover High School and developing employment programs for youth. Rafael's educational background includes a Master's degree in Strategic Communication from National University and a CED Certification in Community Economic Development from San Diego State University.
