Eric Secoy is a Legal Editor at the National Consumer Law Center with previous experience as a freelance journalist writing theater and book reviews. As an attorney, Eric practiced general law including real estate, non-profit corporations, and estate planning. Eric has also worked as a Law Clerk to the Justices at the Massachusetts Superior Court and as a Foreign Law Clerk in Tokyo, Japan. Eric holds a JD from Harvard Law School and a A.B in Political Science, History, Arts from Grinnell College.

Since 1969, the nonprofit National Consumer Law Center® (NCLC®) has used its expertise in consumer law and energy policy to work for consumer justice and economic security for low-income and other disadvantaged people, including older adults, in the United States.
