Nicole Livanos is an experienced professional in state affairs and legislative matters, currently serving as the Director of State Affairs at the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) since January 2016, following a tenure as Associate Director of Legislative Affairs. Prior experiences include roles as a Law Clerk for the Uniform Law Commission and the Illinois Attorney General's Office, along with internships at the Lawyers' Committee for Better Housing and Illinois Legal Aid Online. Nicole also worked as a Research and Appropriations Analyst for the Illinois House of Representatives and held positions in the nonprofit sector, including as a Shift Facilitator at LSA Instructional Support Services. Academically, Nicole holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree with a Tax Law/Taxation Certificate and a Master of Public Policy from Loyola University Chicago, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan.
