Currently serving as a Partner at Red Cell Partners and holding multiple influential positions, including Consultant at the Institute for Defense Analyses, Senior Fellow at the McCrary Institute, and Board Chair of the National Cryptologic Foundation, George Barnes has a robust leadership background. Previously, George Barnes was the Deputy Director at the National Security Agency for over three decades. Educational credentials include a degree from the University of Maryland, earned in 1986.

The NCF's Vision is to advance the nation’s interest in cyber and cryptology through leadership, education, and partnerships. The NCF Mission: Strengthen trust in the digital ecosystem to ensure democracy and freedom in the following ways: Educate: We educate and engage our citizens to be cyber smart individuals, and we develop pathways for our future cyber and cryptologic workforce. Engage: We engage and convene partners to address emerging cyber and cryptologic issues. Commemorate: We commemorate our cryptologic history and those who served within the cryptologic community. Incorporated in 1996 to support the National Cryptologic Museum (NCM) - we continue to provide needed support for the Museum and its programs as part of our shared desire to educate the public on the importance of cryptology in defense of our nation.
