Erkan Bayar

Erkan Bayar has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Erkan most recently worked as a SOC Cybersecurity Analyst at National Cyber Group starting in November 2022. Prior to that, Erkan held multiple roles at Public School, starting as an IT Manager in August 2020. Erkan also worked as a Security Operation Center (SOC) Cyber Security Analyst at CyberNow Labs from July 2020 to November 2021. Before transitioning into the cybersecurity field, Erkan worked in education, serving as a Computer Science Teacher and STEM and FTC Robotics Mentor/Coach at Public Schools from October 2016 to June 2021. Erkan also held the position of Senior Information Technology Director at a Private Education Institution (K-12) from July 2012 to February 2016. Earlier in their career, Erkan worked as a Computer Science Teacher and Computer Olympiads and Projects Coordinator at a Private High School from July 2008 to February 2016, and at an International School and High School from November 2002 to June 2008. Overall, Erkan brings a strong background in information technology and cybersecurity, as well as extensive experience in educational settings.

Also in 2022, Erkan Bayar completed the EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) Version 11 with iLabs program at Fort Hays State University.

During the same year, Erkan Bayar participated in the Palo Alto Networks Cybersecurity Academy- Next Generation Firewall program at Fort Hays State University.

Erkan Bayar attended the Picus Security Purple Academy in 2022 for an Information Technology program.

In 2020 to 2022, Erkan Bayar completed the Cybersecurity Immersion Program with a focus on Security Operation Center (SOC) Cybersecurity Analyst at CyberNow Labs.

In 2022, Erkan Bayar completed the Introduction to Cloud Computing program at CodeRed from EC-Council.

In 2017 to 2018, Erkan Bayar obtained an Associate's degree with a focus on CCNA - Cisco Certified Network Associate at St. Louis Community College. Erkan Bayar also achieved the Highest Academic Honors during this time.

In October 2022, Erkan Bayar completed the 101 Critical Infrastructure Protection Public Version program from the Federal Virtual Training Environment (FedVTE) and the Fundamentals of Cyber Risk Management Public Version program from the Federal Virtual Training Environment Public (FedVTE).
