Jim Teicher

Jim Teicher has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. In 1979, they worked as an Independent Consultant for the New York Stock Exchange, where they provided consultation on online information systems. From 1982 to 1985, they were a Product Manager at AT&T, where they managed field trials for online banking and brokerage and created AT&T Public Access information kiosk services. Jim then served as Division Vice President at Paine Webber from 1985 to 1988. In 1989, they co-founded and served as CEO of Stockalert, Inc., an award-winning financial information system. From 1998 to 2000, they were the President of Smart Tone Inc.

In 2000, Jim Teicher co-founded CyberSmart! Education, a company that developed and promoted digital citizenship curriculum for students to ensure their safety online. CyberSmart! was later sold to Common Sense Media. In 2002, they became a member of the Global Education Working Group at the Software and Information Industry Association. Jim also served as a Co-Founder of the National Cyber Security Alliance and was the past chair of the K-12 Education Working Group.

In 2004, Teicher became a member of the Congressional Internet Caucus Advisory, and in 2007, they founded the CyberSmart Digital Learning Platform, which provides learning resources to schools in developing regions.

In 2009, they joined the Consumer Advisory Board at McAfee. Throughout their career, Teicher has been involved in various roles and organizations related to internet safety, education, and technology.

Jim Teicher has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Rollins College. Jim also has a Master of Science degree in Communications from Ithaca College. Additionally, they pursued a Ph.D. in Education and Sociology at Cornell University, although the details of their degree completion are not provided.
