Katherine Smyth Haskins

Katherine Smyth Haskins currently serves as the Chief of Advancement at the National Defense University Foundation since August 2024. Previously, Katherine was the Vice President for External Affairs and Chief Development Officer at the German Marshall Fund of the United States from September 2019 to December 2022, and prior to that, held multiple senior director roles at Georgetown University. Katherine's experience also includes leadership positions at PhRMA, the Council for a Strong America, Hudson Institute, the International Institute for Strategic Studies–US, and the Center for Strategic and International Studies. Katherine holds a Master’s Degree in Security Studies from Georgetown University and a Master’s Degree in the History of International Relations from University College Dublin, where a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Greek and Roman Civilization was also earned.
