Laura Over

Laura Over has work experience in various roles and organizations. Laura is currently the Chief Procurement Officer at the National Defense University, where they have been working since 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief, Procurement Branch at the same university. Before joining the National Defense University, Laura worked at the United States Air Force for several years, starting as a Contract Specialist and progressing to roles such as Grants Officer/Contracting Officer, Lead Contracting Officer, and finally Supervisory Contract Specialist. Laura also has experience as an Assistant UK Site Director at the University of Oklahoma, where they provided support to students stationed at RAF Mildenhall. Earlier in their career, Laura worked as an OHI Specialist at Benefit Recovery, a Business Assistant at Dean McGee Eye Surgery Center, and as a Lifeguard at Oklahoma State University.

Laura Over attended Defense Acquisition University from 2014 to 2020, where they specialized in Contracting. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Procurement and Acquisitions Management from Webster University from 2011 to 2013. Laura also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on International Business from Oklahoma State University between 2007 and 2010. Laura began their tertiary education in psychology at Randolph College in 2006. Additionally, they obtained a Government Contracting Certificate from Defense Acquisition University in 2013.
