Jackie Gorman, EDFP, has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Currently, they serve as the Senior Director for the Equitable Developer Academy at the National Development Council, where they focus on increasing BIPOC participation in real estate development while increasing affordable housing availability. Prior to this, Jackie worked at Allen Austin, initially starting as a Senior Partner/Advisor and later becoming the Managing Partner/CEO of Ivy Consulting. Jackie was also the Chief Executive Officer at SAGE - San Antonio for Growth on the Eastside. Additionally, Jackie held the position of Division Head at the Texas Engineering Extension Service. Overall, they possess a strong background in advisory, leadership, and executive roles, with a focus on government, higher education, and non-profit sectors.

Jackie Gorman, EDFP, obtained their Bachelor of Arts (AB) degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan in the years 1976 to 1980. Jackie then pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the Texas McCombs School of Business, graduating between 1992 and 1994. In 2003, Jackie completed the Leadership Texas program.

More recently, Jackie attended the Harvard Kennedy School from 2016 to 2018 for Executive Education, though the specific field of study is not mentioned.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Jackie Gorman obtained the Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) certification from the National Development Council in February 2022.
