Nikita Shamgunov

Nikita Shamgunov is the Chief Executive Officer at Neon @neondatabase. Prior to this, Nikita was a Partner at Khosla Ventures and Chief Strategy Officer at SingleStore. Nikita spent several years as the CEO of MemSQL, where Nikita focused on building the next generation distributed transactional database that scales on commodity hardware. Nikita also has experience as a Software Engineer at Facebook and Senior Software Development Engineer at Microsoft, where Nikita worked on innovative projects. Overall, Nikita has a strong background in computer science with a PhD from National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics.
