Heather McGrew has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Heather started their career at Sprint as a Project Manager from 1993 to 1995. Heather then moved to Teleport Communications Group (TCG) as a National Account Sales representative from 1995 to 1997. Heather went on to work at AT&T as a Product Manager for Data Services from 1998 to 2000. Heather then joined Coreon, Inc. as a Manager, Sales Ops & Project Management from 2000 to 2001. Heather's next role was at Echoing Green, where they served as the VP of Fellow & Alumni Programs from 2002 to 2009. During this time, Echoing Green supported and funded social entrepreneurs from around the world. Following their tenure at Echoing Green, Heather became Chief Operating Officer at the Young Survival Coalition (YSC) from 2010 to 2014. YSC is an organization dedicated to supporting young women with breast cancer. Currently, Heather is the Chief Operating Officer at the National Employment Law Project, a role they have held since 2014.

Heather McGrew's education history includes a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. Heather attended this school from 1988 to 1990, focusing their studies on Management. Prior to that, Heather earned a Bachelor's degree in English & History from the University of Virginia. Heather completed their undergraduate studies from 1981 to 1985.
