Blaine Theodros

Blaine Theodros has a strong background in events and public engagement, with experience working in various organizations. Blaine is currently the Director of Events and Public Engagement at the National Endowment for Democracy, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Communications and Events Strategist at the United States Institute of Peace from 2016 to 2023. In this role, they were responsible for delivering special event initiatives and working on communication teams for national security conferences. From 2008 to 2016, Blaine worked at The World Bank as an Operational Communications & Events Analyst, where they planned and executed marketing campaigns and events, collaborating with senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Before that, they worked as an Account Analyst at MICROS Systems Inc from 2004 to 2008. Blaine's early career includes serving as the Marketing Director and Partner at HELM Magazine from 2002 to 2008, where they drove advertising sales and managed customer accounts. Blaine Theodros completed their education at the University of Maryland. Blaine obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics from 2001 to 2004. In addition, they earned a Copyright Management Certificate from the University of Maryland in 2010 and a Protocol Officer Certificate from The Protocol School of Washington in 2022.
