Joshua Sternfeld

Joshua Sternfeld is a seasoned professional in humanities administration, currently serving as a Senior Program Officer in the Division of Preservation and Access at the National Endowment for the Humanities since September 2009. Joshua's work includes overseeing grant programs supporting various educational and scholarly initiatives while coordinating major federal relief efforts. Previously, Joshua held positions as a Director handling substantial operating grants for state humanities councils and as an Associate Director at UCLA, where Joshua managed significant funding for archival education projects. Joshua's academic background includes a Ph.D. in History from UCLA and a B.A. in History from Princeton University, along with experience as an adjunct professor and history consultant.
