Director Of Strategic Communications And Public Affairs at National Endowment for the Humanities

Shelby Lopez has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various industries and roles. Shelby is currently the Director of Strategic Communications and Public Affairs at the National Endowment for the Humanities. Prior to that, they served as the White House Liaison and Senior Adviser to the Chief of Staff.

Shelby has also worked at Bloomberg LP as a Project Director, where they led the launch and execution of the inaugural Qatar Economic Forum. Shelby managed a global team while overseeing communication and management for clients and C-suite executives.

Before their role at Bloomberg, Shelby was the Director of Events for the 59th Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC). Shelby managed a dedicated events team and led the execution of numerous events per week with President Biden, Vice President Harris, and other surrogates for the presidential transition.

Shelby also worked for Biden for President as the Director of Events, where they managed fundraising events involving Vice President Kamala Harris.

Additionally, Shelby has experience at The Atlantic as an Associate Director and Senior Manager, and at RealClear Media Group as the Director of Marketing & Events, Audience Development Manager, Business Development Associate, and Events Associate.

Before that, they worked as a Collegiate Development Consultant for Delta Gamma, providing personalized performance analysis to chapters and developing original training programs. Shelby also served as the President of Delta Gamma at Northwestern University.

Shelby's early work experience includes an internship at Conventions 2012/The Victory Group, where they executed strategic plans for clients during the 2012 Republican National Convention and Democratic National Convention.

Shelby Lopez pursued their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication, General at Northwestern University from 2009 to 2013.
