Guoxiang (Gavin) Liu is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in reservoir engineering and energy transition technologies. Currently serving as Team Lead/Senior Engineer at the National Energy Technology Laboratory/Battelle since September 2019, Liu focuses on low carbon and sustainable CCUS, including risk assessments and techno-economic analyses. Prior roles include Senior Reservoir Engineer at Baker Hughes, where expertise encompassed reservoir performance analysis and optimization, and Senior Engineer at GE, specializing in unconventional plays and EOR techniques. Liu has a solid academic foundation with a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from West Virginia University and a Master's degree in Computer Science from Leiden University, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Yunnan Normal University.
