Mark Thompson

Mark Thompson is an experienced public affairs professional currently serving as the Public Affairs Program Lead at the National Energy Technology Laboratory since September 2020. Previously, Mark worked as a Public Affairs Specialist for the US Army Corps of Engineers for a brief period in 2020 and for the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center Huntsville from November 2016 to February 2020, where responsibilities included writing for Army publications and conducting media outreach. Mark also held roles as a Marketing Coordinator and a Recruiting and Retention Specialist with the Tennessee Army National Guard from 2005 to 2016, focusing on recruitment strategies and advertising support. Mark's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in American History from West Virginia University and several qualifications from the Defense Information School in public affairs.
