Sohail Shariq has over 13 years of experience in compliance and awards management. Sohail currently serves as the Director of Compliance at the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. Prior to this, they worked as the Manager of Federal Awards Compliance at the same organization. Before joining the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, Sohail worked at Population Services International, where they held roles such as Senior Awards & Compliance Officer and Awards & Compliance Officer. Sohail has extensive knowledge of risk management, negotiation, audit compliance, and proposal development in accordance with US federal government regulations and donor regulations. Sohail has also held positions at Stay Safe Solutions, IESC - Improving Economies for Stronger Communities, Creative Associates International, AECOM, and DAI, where they gained valuable experience in grants and subcontracts management.

Sohail Shariq obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Indira Gandhi National Open University from 2007 to 2011. In 2013, they pursued a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Anglia Ruskin University. The same year, they also completed a certificate course in Conflict Sensitive Development from OSCE Academy. In 2018, they earned a certificate in USAID Rules and Regulations on Grants and Cooperative Agreements from Humentum.
