James Liu

James Liu has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Their most recent position was as the COO at National Flood Services, starting in May 2020. Prior to that, they co-founded Tangram Partners in April 2018 and served in that role until May 2020.

From 2013 to 2018, James held various roles at The Kraft Heinz Company. James served as the Vice President of Strategic Growth from November 2017 to March 2018. Before that, they were the Vice President of Marketing for US Sauces and Condiments from July 2016 to November 2017. During this time, they managed a portfolio of 20 brands and had P&L responsibility for over $2.5 billion in retail sales and a $100 million marketing budget.

Prior to their role at The Kraft Heinz Company, James worked at WL Ross & Co as an Associate from August 2011 to May 2013. Additionally, they worked at The Blackstone Group as an Analyst in the Private Equity Group from August 2007 to June 2009.

James started their career at J.P. Morgan Securities Inc as an Analyst in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group from August 2006 to August 2007.

Throughout their career, James has demonstrated expertise in strategic growth, marketing, finance, treasury, and mergers and acquisitions.

James Liu earned an MBA degree in General Management from Harvard Business School from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they studied at NYU Stern School of Business from 2001 to 2005 and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting, with a minor in Sociology.
