Byron Highland has extensive experience in law enforcement and fraternal organizations, currently serving on the Membership Committee of the National Fraternal Order of Police since August 2019 and as a volunteer with EHPC SMAT 100 COMU since February 2019. Highland has held various leadership roles within the Fraternal Order of Police, including Secretary/Treasurer of Pitt-Greenville Lodge #69 and Eastern Membership & Recruiting Member for the NC Lodge. Additionally, Highland has been a State Trustee and a long-time member of Pitt-Greenville Fraternal Order of Police. Prior experience includes serving as a Reserve Police Officer and Reserve Police Officer Coordinator for the Greenville Police Department, culminating in a retirement as Lieutenant after 25 years of service. Educational credentials include completion of the Administrative Officers Course at the Southern Police Institute, University of Louisville.
