Amanda Cage has over 20 years of work experience in various roles related to workforce development, program management, and policy. Amanda is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at the National Fund for Workforce Solutions since March 2020. Prior to that, they held the position of Chief Program Officer at the Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership from 2016 to 2020. Amanda also served as the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Policy at the same organization from 2012 to 2016. Amanda was a LGC Fellow at Leadership Greater Chicago in 2018-2019 and a Job Quality Fellow at The Aspen Institute in 2017-2018. Earlier in their career, they held the role of Director of Human Capital Strategy at the Chicago Workforce Investment Council (2010-2012) and Program Officer at the Robert R. McCormick Foundation (2005-2010). Amanda started their career as a Union Organizer at SEIU Local 503 (2001-2002) and Jobs With Justice (1998-2000).
Amanda Cage completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Third World Studies at Oberlin College from 1992 to 1996. Amanda then pursued their Master of Public Policy degree at the University of Chicago's Harris School of Public Policy from 2003 to 2005. In 2000, they attended Harvard University for the Trade Union Program, but the end year for this program is unknown.
