Manager of Credit Risk Analytics
- Hybrid Schedule, working onsite 3 days per week at the Atlanta, GA offices and remote 2 days per week. Full Time, Monday-Friday

Job Summary:
National Funding, a fast-growing and well-established fintech company since 1999, has created and launched a new, state-of-the-art digital lending company based in Atlanta, providing a fully digital lending offering targeted to small businesses across the United States that are seeking an automated loan experience.
Reporting directly to the SVP of Risk, the Manager of Credit Risk Analytics will be responsible for building and managing core pillars of risk related to small business lending. The Manager of Credit Risk Analytics will primarily focus on digital lending to small businesses in the United States (business purpose loans, working capital, merchant cash advances, etc.). Responsible for development, enhancement, and implementation of credit risk management strategies. Ensure the financial soundness of the portfolio, identifying key credit and fraud risks, and collaborating with management to mitigate adverse impact. In addition, will oversee day to day risk operations of the product.
What You’ll be Doing:
- Ensure the financial soundness of the portfolio, identifying key credit and fraud risks, and collaborating with management to mitigate adverse impact.
- Lead strategic projects that enhance credit and fraud performance of the portfolio, such as new underwriting policies, enhanced fraud preventions strategies, and revenue optimizing initiatives.
- Develop and maintain portfolio performance reporting and analysis, such as dashboards.
- Maintain an effective control environment and respond to operational breakdowns with discipline.
- Work closely with stakeholders to develop business requirements for credit and fraud risk, develop appropriate product and technical requirements, and collaborate with technology partners to deploy.
- Analyze large volumes of data to identify emerging credit trends and uncover new fraud patterns.
- Identifies areas of improvement needed and partners with other stakeholders to ensure that any process change will have the positive impact needed for the business needs.
- Ensure compliance with the company policies.
- Performs other tasks as requested.
An Ideal Candidate Looks Like This:
- 3+ years of experience in credit and fraud risk management in financial services
- Experience managing credit portfolio performance.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement credit and fraud risk strategies in small business lending (e.g. underwriting, originations, customer management, collections).
- Solid understanding of key credit and fraud risk operational metrics, levers, and various servicing strategies.
- Solid understanding of credit risk, controls, and compliance.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, able to move quickly between big picture and detail and produce meaningful conclusions.
Must have strong organizational, written, verbal communication skills, with ability to work independently, as well as, in a collaborative/team environment and the ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, particularly regarding planning and execution.
- Able to create and maintain strong, professional work relationships with internal management staff and external lenders, vendors and suppliers.
- A master’s degree or higher in mathematics, engineering, or similar quantitative field.
