JR Ferguson has a diverse work experience in the field of marketing, specifically in the area of paid search. JR started their career as an SEO Intern at Deckers Brands in 2013, where they optimized on-site search and performed keyword research. JR then transitioned to the role of Paid Search Marketing Coordinator and later became an eCommerce Paid Search Associate Manager at the same company.
In 2016, JR Ferguson joined MAKA Digital as a Paid Media Specialist for a year before moving on to AutoAnything as a Marketing Manager - Paid Search. In this role, they managed the paid search program for a large eCommerce auto parts distributor and coordinated marketing campaigns with other channels and teams.
JR Ferguson then worked at Petco as a Manager, Paid Search, where they collaborated with internal and agency partners to plan and execute search support within omni-channel marketing campaigns. JR also provided performance reporting to search team management and other stakeholders.
From 2019 to 2023, JR Ferguson worked at Thermo Fisher Scientific in two roles. As a Marketing Specialist, they managed paid search strategy and execution for a wide range of laboratory consumables and instruments, ensuring accuracy in targeting and marketing copy. In their subsequent role as Sr e-Business Analyst, they led the creation of an analytics team focused on reporting and insights for paid search and programmatic display programs. JR built and maintained various dashboards, executed a roadmap for improving data sophistication, and contributed to revenue growth from global paid search campaigns.
Most recently, JR Ferguson joined National Funding as a Marketing Manager, Paid Search in 2023.
JR Ferguson attended Northern Arizona University from 2007 to 2011. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology. Additionally, in December 2022, they obtained a certification in Foundations of Project Management from Coursera.
