Siobhan McConnachie has a diverse work experience in the art and museum sector. Siobhan started their career at RCAHMS, where they worked as a Cataloguer and later as a Project Manager. Siobhan then joined Surgeons' Hall Museum as the Scotland & Medicine Partnership Manager, where they focused on raising the profile of Scotland’s medical collections. Siobhan also worked at Glasgow Museums as the Senior Learning and Access Curator and later as the Learning and Audiences Research Manager. Siobhan was responsible for the strategic direction of learning and visitor studies, as well as managing a team and developing partnerships. Siobhan also worked at National Galleries of Scotland as the Head of Learning & Engagement. Additionally, they served as a non-executive board member and co-chairperson at North Edinburgh Arts.
Siobhan McConnachie obtained a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in the History of Art from The University of Edinburgh, where they studied from 1995 to 1999.
