Ashleigh Downey is an experienced professional specializing in biodiversity, climate action, and the arts. Serving as the Biodiversity Ambassador Programme Officer and Environmental Arts Officer at Green Sod Ireland since 2017, Ashleigh also holds roles as a Climate Ambassador for An Taisce and a Climate Leader for The Climate Reality Project since 2019 and 2020, respectively. With a background in education, Ashleigh participates in the Education Panel at both the National Gallery of Ireland and Dublin City Gallery, The Hugh Lane. Previous roles include Artistic Director for the Soul Kids Family Area at Body and Soul Festival and the Electric Picnic Family Area, as well as Visual Arts Programmer at The Ark, Dublin. Ashleigh's educational credentials include a Postgraduate degree in Design Thinking for Sustainability from University College Dublin and a Master's in Social Practice & the Creative Environment from Limerick Institute of Technology, among other qualifications in art, design, and early childhood education.
