Martin Evans is an experienced IT professional with a strong background in commercial and vendor management within the utility sector. Currently serving as the Head of IT Commercial and Vendor Management at National Gas Transmission since April 2022, Martin oversees a team responsible for managing over £40m in IT spending, focusing on secure and carbon-neutral technology to support clean energy initiatives. Prior experience at National Grid involved roles such as IT Vendor Manager and Global Service Strategy Manager, where Martin led commercial management of significant outsource contracts and maintained global enterprise service standards. With a comprehensive career spanning various IT positions across utilities, Martin possesses extensive expertise in IT performance, infrastructure services, and customer service management. Martin holds an MBA in Business Administration and an MEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, both from Loughborough University.
