Lead Data Architect at National Gas

Paul White is a seasoned data architect with extensive experience leading data architecture initiatives across various organizations. Currently serving as the Lead Data Architect at National Gas since July 2023, Paul oversees the data architecture of the Data & Insights Platform and general governance of data architecture across the organization. Previous roles include Lead Data Architect at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, where Paul contributed to key projects such as Collection & Packaging Reforms and Waste Tracking, and a similar title at the Department for Work and Pensions, focusing on fraud detection. Earlier experience includes senior positions at AstraZeneca, Audley Travel, NewDay, Drax Group, BT, Royal Mail, and the UK Ministry of Defence, where Paul was instrumental in creating data strategies, architecture standards, and enterprise models. Paul holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Queen Mary University of London, an MBA from Durham University, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Durham University.
