Emily Hewitt

Emily Hewitt is an experienced media management specialist currently employed at National Geographic Society, where responsibilities include overseeing media management initiatives. Prior to this role, Emily served as a media management coordinator at the same organization and gained valuable experience with the National Park Service as a Library & Records Management Intern. Additional roles include working as an archives assistant for Special Olympics, where significant contributions were made to create a sustainable archive, and interning across various institutions such as the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas and the Smithsonian Institution. Emily holds a Master of Library & Information Science focused on Cultural Heritage Information Management from The Catholic University of America and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Arts Management from Randolph-Macon College.
