Alexa McMahon

Alexa McMahon serves as the Senior Manager of Integrated Storytelling at National Geographic, where responsibilities include orchestrating editorial projects and managing relationships with key partners such as Disney+ and the National Geographic Society. Previously, Alexa held various editorial roles at The Washington Post from July 2015 to January 2023, including Articles Editor for The Washington Post Magazine, where notable pieces were commissioned, and Projects Editor, Features, focusing on digital strategy and collaborative storytelling. Prior experience includes positions at The Boston Globe in different capacities, including Producer for the Features section, alongside roles at MEDITECH, WCVB-TV Channel, and Boston Metro Newspaper among others. Alexa earned a Bachelor of Science in Print and Multimedia Journalism from Emerson College.
