Allyson Shaw

Allyson Shaw is a seasoned professional in editorial and digital production, currently serving as Senior Editor and Digital Producer at National Geographic Kids since March 2015. In this role, Shaw pitches, writes, and edits articles for a magazine with 1.2 million subscribers, coordinates print preparation with design teams, and produces educational content for children. Significant contributions include co-creating the podcast "How We Explore" and developing the Kids Vs. Plastic initiative. Shaw's prior experience includes a Manager of Communications and Media Relations position at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund and various roles in journalism, including reporting and editing at the University Daily Kansan. Allyson Shaw holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Mass Communications from The University of Kansas.
