Karen Azeez has extensive experience in strategic insights, evaluation, and impact assessment within prominent organizations such as National Geographic and the World Bank Group. Currently serving as a Senior Manager at National Geographic since November 2017, Karen previously held roles such as Evaluation Specialist for Climate Investment Funds at the World Bank Group and Program Manager for Impact Evaluation at Social Impact. Earlier in the career, positions included Staff Scientist at ERM: Environmental Resources Management and Deputy Director of the Congo Basin Coast Program at the Wildlife Conservation Society. Karen holds a Master of Science in Natural Resources and Environment with a focus on Environmental Policy and Planning from the University of Michigan, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies with an emphasis on Political Communication from The University of Texas at Austin.
