Natalie Konopinski

Natalie Konopinski is a seasoned editor with extensive experience in publishing and academia. Currently serving as Senior Editor for Newsstand Specials at National Geographic since October 2023, Natalie previously held the position of Editor for Anthropology News at the American Anthropological Association from November 2015 to October 2023. Prior roles include Associate Editor for Political Science and Communication at SAGE Publications and Visiting Scholar at George Mason University's School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution. Natalie’s academic foundation includes a PhD in Social Anthropology from The University of Edinburgh, where Natalie also worked as Course Convenor and Senior Tutor from September 2009 to July 2011.
