Sarah Barrell

Sarah Barrell is a seasoned travel writer, editor, and author with extensive experience in the publishing industry. Currently serving as a Senior Editor at National Geographic Traveller (UK) since June 2010, Sarah also holds the position of Travel Editor at BBC Good Food magazine with Immediate Media Co, beginning in January 2017. Sarah has contributed as a freelance travel writer and journalist since 2000 and has worked as an Associate Editor for National Geographic Traveller (UK) since October 2010. Additionally, Sarah authored "From The Source: Italy" and "You Only Love Once" for Lonely Planet. Previous roles include Acting Travel Editor at Olive magazine and travel writer and deputy editor at The Independent. Sarah holds a BA in English/Publishing from Oxford Brookes University, obtained in 1995.
