Darren Pettifer

Darren Pettifer is an accomplished financial executive with extensive experience at National Grid since April 2007, currently serving as CFO for the Electricity Distribution business unit, overseeing a £2bn annual turnover. Previously, Darren held the CFO position for National Grid Electricity Transmission plc, managing finance operations with a regulated asset value of approximately £20bn and an annual capital expenditure of up to £2bn. Other key roles included Head of Regulatory Finance, where Darren led the team through a £25bn revenue review, and Head of Finance for the System Operator, with accountability for £4bn in Transmission revenue. Darren's career commenced at PwC as an Auditor, followed by a role as Group Financial Accountant at Wagon Automotive. Additionally, Darren was a Trustee Director for the National Grid Electricity DB pension scheme from April 2017 to July 2022. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Oxford.
