Ayana Culley

Ayana Culley has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Ayana started their career at Adelphi University as an Adjunct Faculty in 2012. Ayana then joined the Long Island Jewish Medical Center as a Medical Coder in 2007 and worked there until 2013. In 2012, Ayana also started working at Visiting Nurse Service of New York as a Public Health Nurse, where they stayed until 2015. Ayana has since been employed at National Health Resources, Inc. (NHR) in various roles including Coding Compliance Consultant from 2013 to 2014, Senior Project Manager from 2014 to 2016, and currently holds the position of Vice President.

Ayana Culley has a diverse education history. Ayana obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with a specialization in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Adelphi University. Ayana then pursued further education at Alfred State College - SUNY College of Technology, where they earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Health Information Technology.

Continuing their education, Ayana enrolled at Adelphi University once again, this time completing a Leadership Certificate Program. Ayana also earned a Certificate in Women's Entrepreneurship from Cornell University. Additionally, Ayana holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Business from Adelphi University.

Ayana has also obtained several certifications in their career. Ayana is an AHIMA-Approved ICD-10 CM/PCS Trainer and a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) through AHIMA. Ayana holds the designation of Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) from the National Board for Certification of Hospice and Palliative Nurses. Ayana is also a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certified by AHIMA and a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) licensed by the New York and Maine- Office of Professions.
