Mary Fitzmaurice

Mary Fitzmaurice has extensive experience in education, serving as a Substitute Teacher with Mukilteo School District since October 1995, specializing in Social Studies and English Language Arts for middle and high school. Additionally, Mary has held positions as a middle school teacher, delivering an enhanced social studies curriculum to gifted and talented students, and as a paraeducator, supporting IEP and 504 students. Since October 2022, Mary has volunteered as the Northwest Region Coordinator for the National History Day program and has also been involved as a coordinator for the Northwest Regional History Day contest. Mary holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from San Jose State University and several teaching certifications from Western Washington University, Seattle Pacific University, and a Master of Arts in Curriculum & Instruction from the American College of Education.
