Mitra Gavgani, Pharm D, has over two decades of experience in the healthcare and pharmacy sectors, currently serving as President and previously holding multiple leadership roles at Johns Hopkins Care at Home since March 2003. Gavgani's positions have included COO, VP of Pharmacy and Clinical Services, and Director of Specialty Infusion Services. In addition to a commitment to Johns Hopkins, Gavgani has been a board member of the National Home Infusion Association since March 2019 and served on the Maryland Board of Pharmacy from August 2010 to October 2018, including a term as President. Gavgani’s earlier experience includes working as a Clinical Pharmacist at Apria Healthcare, where responsibilities encompassed care planning and medication management. Gavgani earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Howard University and has an extensive background in pharmacy education, including studies at the University of Maryland Baltimore County and Howard Community College.
