Leslie Zarker currently serves as the Director of Sustainability Policy at National Housing Trust, focusing on advancing energy and decarbonization policies to benefit underserved residents of affordable housing. Prior to this role, Zarker was the Senior Manager for Energy Efficiency and Multifamily Housing at ICF International, where efforts supported HUD and DOE in managing the Better Buildings Challenge. Zarker also held the position of Vice President of Communications at Green & Healthy Homes Initiative, leading projects aimed at improving energy efficiency and health outcomes for low- and moderate-income families. As Director of Communications at Building Performance Institute, Inc., Zarker provided technical assistance and developed communication strategies for energy efficiency programs. Earlier experience includes serving as Communications Director at CMC Energy Services. Zarker holds a B.A. in Philosophy, magna cum laude, from St. Mary's College of Maryland and a Master's in Public Policy with a focus on Environmental Policy from the University of Maryland.
