Christy Staats

Christy Staats is a highly experienced professional in the field of immigration and refugee services, currently serving as the Midwest Mobilizer at the National Immigration Forum since January 2019, where responsibilities include public speaking and event planning across multiple states. Prior to this role, Christy co-founded and served as Director of the Immigrant and Refugee department at Cru, overseeing strategy and training for a large team and leading fundraising initiatives. Christy has also been instrumental in developing a successful partnership that provided essential services to refugees and has extensive management experience from a previous role at Agapé UK. Christy holds degrees in Theology, Communication, and Comparative Religion from respected institutions, demonstrating a strong academic foundation to support a dedicated career in advocacy and community service.
