Michael Ohrin

Michael Ohrin is a seasoned professional in the field of Indigenous affairs and strategic reporting, currently serving as the Lead Strategy and Reporting for NITV at Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) Australia since January 2024. With an extensive background at the National Indigenous Australians Agency, Michael has held various positions including Assistant Director and Advisor, contributing to recognition and empowerment initiatives. Michael's expertise extends to roles such as Engagement Officer at Yes23 and Advisor at the Australian Department of Health, alongside significant involvement in community support as a Bush Fire Response Officer. An advocate for Indigenous representation, Michael promoted the University of Canberra and the Ngunnawal Centre as the Gurumbul Champion. Michael holds a Bachelor of Politics and International Relations from the University of Canberra, completing studies in 2021.
