Stacey Cunningham Penny

Stacey Cunningham Penny has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Stacey is currently working at the National Institute for Children's Health Quality (NICHQ) as a Senior Project Director, where they are involved in project management and development. Stacey also holds the position of President at their own consulting company, The Penny Consulting Group, where they assist clients in strategic development, cause awareness and engagement, and executive leadership development.

In their previous roles, Stacey served as the Vice President of Individual and Corporate Foundation Relations at March of Dimes, where they successfully collaborated with internal partners and secured over $15 million in proposal submissions. Stacey also worked as an Adjunct Lecturer at USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work, where they taught graduate-level courses on research methods and program evaluation. Furthermore, Stacey has held leadership positions in organizations such as Indigo Health Consulting, the National Healthy Start Association, the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs, and the National Black Child Development Institute.

Stacey Cunningham Penny is currently pursuing a Doctor of Public Health degree at the University of Illinois Chicago, which they started in 2019 and is expected to complete in 2024. Prior to this, they obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health from The George Washington University- Milken Institute School of Public Health. Stacey also holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree with a focus on Child and Family Welfare from Howard University. Stacey'sundergraduate studies were completed at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they earned a Bachelor's of Liberal Arts and Sciences degree in Sociology.
