Bill Church

Bill Church serves as the Executive Editor at Santa Fe New Mexican, overseeing the news operation for the West's oldest newspaper and leading special projects aimed at enhancing engagement and legacy. Previously, Church held the role of Executive Editor at The News & Observer Publishing Company and Vice President of News/Director of Standards and Staff Development at Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK, where efforts focused on developing journalism teams and fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion. With a wealth of experience, Church has also contributed as Senior Vice President of News at GateHouse Media, Executive Editor at Sarasota Herald-Tribune, and Executive Editor at multiple Gannett publications, driving strategic initiatives and award-winning content. Church's academic background includes a M.S. in Administration from Central Michigan University and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Oklahoma.
