Mikko Härkönen

Mikko Härkönen is an experienced professional in health and human services informatics, currently serving as Project Manager and Development Manager at the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) since March 2013, where responsibilities include managing the Code Service, essential for the development of interoperable electronic services in social and health care. Additionally, Mikko holds a position as a Board Member at ACENDIO, which provides an international network for nurses, and serves as a member of the member forum for SNOMED International, leading the SNOMED CT National Release Center in Finland. Previous experience includes a role as Development Manager in the Information Structures Unit and project designer at the University of Eastern Finland. Education includes a Master of Social Sciences in Health and Human Services Informatics from the University of Eastern Finland and a Registered Nurse degree from Kainuun Terveydenhuolto-oppilaitos.
