Petteri Hovi

Petteri Hovi is a Research Manager at the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) since September 2015, focusing on the utilization of real-world data in research, development, and innovations. As a Senior Researcher since January 2021, Petteri Hovi co-leads the COVID-19 vaccine safety team, overseeing safety surveillance in accordance with legal obligations. Earlier experience includes serving as a Medical Doctor in Pediatric Rheumatology at Tampere University Hospital from July 2018 to March 2020, and as a Medical Specialist and Pediatrician in Pediatric Rheumatology at Helsinki University Central Hospital from January 2004 to July 2018. Petteri Hovi holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Helsinki.
