Faith Peppers

Director, Communications at National Institute of Food and Agriculture

Faith Peppers is the current Director of Communications at the National Institute of Food and Agriculture. Faith has held this position since June of 2020. Prior to their current role, Ms. Peppers served as the Director of Public Affairs at The University of Georgia for 27 years. In this role, they were responsible for leading the college's public affairs programs, including strategic messaging, issues management, crisis communication, legislative communication, media relations and communication training.

Ms. Peppers has also worked as a Publications Editor at Northside Hospital and as a Public Information Officer at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. In these roles, they were responsible for coordinating, developing and producing hospital marketing publications, collateral material and targeted newsletters; as well as shared duties for media relations and internal communication. Ms. Peppers has more than 37 years of experience in the field of communications and their work has been widely recognized and respected.

Faith Peppers has a MA in Communication from Georgia State University, a BA in Journalism from Georgia State University, and an AA in Journalism from Middle Georgia College. Faith also has a certification from the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) in LEAD21 - Leadership for the 21st Century and a certification from the Association for Communication Excellence in ACE Leadership Institute.

Faith Peppers reports to Drenda Williams, Acting Senior Operations & Policy Officer. Faith Peppers works with Paula Geiger - Budget Officer, Matthew Faulkner - Deputy Director, Office of Grants & Financial Management.
