Prior to this role, Kathe served in various capacities at the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) from October 2008 to November 2020, including Biostatistician, Antimicrobial Resistance Specialist, Veterinary Epidemiologist, and Risk Analysis Team Lead. Kathe holds a Master of Science in Public Health and a Doctor of Philosophy in Biostatistics from the University of Colorado Denver, as well as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota.
