Yukihiro Fujimoto

Yukihiro Fujimoto is a Project Researcher Specialist at the National Institute of Informatics as of January 2024. Previously, Yukihiro served as Executive Manager at NTT Advanced Technology Corp from July 2017 to December 2023, focusing on IT business development and fiber access network support in Asian countries such as India and Vietnam. Yukihiro's extensive experience at NTT (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation) spanned from April 1990 to June 2017, where roles included General Manager overseeing Carrier Ethernet and mobile back-haul systems, as well as Supervisor and Senior Research Engineer dedicated to R&D in fiber optic access networks. Yukihiro's contributions also included a guest R&D engineer position at Lucent Technologies Bell Labs, where development of the Telephony Passive Optical Network system for NTT took place. Yukihiro holds a Master of Science degree in City Planning from the University of Tsukuba, earned between 1988 and 1990.
