Edgar Robitaille is an accomplished undergraduate student at The Johns Hopkins University, pursuing dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Biomedical/Medical Engineering and Computer Science. Currently serving as an intern at the National Institute of Standards and Technology under Dr. Sarah Riman, Edgar has previously contributed to the Center for Bioengineering Innovation and Design, focusing on enhancing low-cost cataract surgery devices for deployment in India. As a Hardware Team Co-leader for the iGEM Competition, Edgar has been involved in projects developing low-cost biomedical equipment. Edgar also gained experience as a Research Intern at the National University of Singapore's Computational Nanoelectronics & Nanodevices Lab, where a generative AI tool for fish disease detection was developed. Additionally, Edgar co-founded Agro-Q LLC, creating an IoT hydroponics system that has been implemented in educational settings nationwide.
