Jeffrey Bretsch

VP, Liability Claims at Enterprise Holdings at National Insurance Crime Bureau

Mr. Bretsch, who has spent nearly 40 years in insurance and risk management, currently serves as the Vice President of Liability Claims at Enterprise Holdings and has been with the company since 1995. He joined the NICB Board of Governors in 2022.

In his role, Mr. Bretsch supports self-handling and third-party claims operations throughout North America and Europe. He also manages the risk management support areas of litigation management, human resources, training, SIU and auditing. His past involvement with NICB includes working with the task force operational review and assessment of the member benefit report.

Mr. Bretsch earned a bachelor’s degree in business/accounting from Eastern Illinois University and completed the senior leadership curriculum at Washington University’s Olin Business School. He has also earned Associate in Claims (AIC) and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) certifications. Mr. Bretsch is an executive board member and head of the finance committee for the Barnes-Jewish St. Peters & Progress West Foundation. He also serves on the financial control board at his church.
