Jennifer Sitton, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning various fields. Jennifer began their career as an Office Assistant/Admissions Recruiter at Illinois Institute of Technology in 1998 before becoming an Independent Researcher at Grinnell College in 1999. During this time, they conducted behavioral neuropsychology experiments and developed a specialized guided reading course.
In 2000, Dr. Sitton worked as an Administrative Assistant at the American Medical Association until 2001. Jennifer then transitioned to a role as a Veterinary Technician at North Avenue Animal Hospital in 2002.
From 2003 to 2004, they worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Dean of the College of Architecture at Illinois Institute of Technology.
Starting in 2004, Dr. Sitton joined New Mexico State University as a Teaching Assistant and later became a Principal Investigator for both their Master's and Doctoral research. Jennifer also served as a Research Assistant and attended MIT as a visiting student.
In 2011, Dr. Sitton began working at National Inventors Hall of Fame, starting as a Creative Content Developer before taking on roles as a Senior Curriculum Writer, Senior Education Tactician, and currently, as the Director of Science & Product Development.
Additionally, in 2011, they briefly worked as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at New Mexico State University.
Throughout their career, Dr. Sitton has demonstrated a passion for education, curriculum development, project management, research, and scientific content creation.
Jennifer Sitton, Ph.D. obtained a B.A. in Psychology, specializing in Neuropsychology, from Grinnell College in the years 1996 to 2000. Jennifer then pursued their M.S. in Biology, specializing in Cell and Organismal Biology, at New Mexico State University from 2004 to 2006. Finally, they earned their Ph.D. in Biology, with a specialization in Science Education, from New Mexico State University from 2007 to 2009.
