Brian Day

Brian Day, PhD has extensive work experience in both academic and industry settings. Brian started their career in 1997 at National Jewish Health, where they held various roles including Vice President of Research and Professor and Vice Chair of Research. In these roles, they focused on developing and implementing research infrastructure and supporting faculty research endeavors. In 2004, they joined Aeolus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as Chief Scientific Officer, where they contributed to the design and synthesis of metalloporphyrins and played a key role in the non-clinical and clinical development projects in radiation and chemical defense programs.

Brian Day, PhD, obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Pharmacy from the University of Montana from 1979 to 1984. Brian then pursued their PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology at Purdue University from 1987 to 1992. After completing their PhD, they went on to earn a Post Doctorate (Post Doc) degree in Pulmonary Toxicology from Duke University from 1992 to 1995.
